You can either use the windows restore or reformat and seeing how it is unclear which you want to do we will go over both.
For using windows restore point go to 'Start' and locate the 'Help' or 'Help and Support' link. Open this link and you will find an option that say 'Restore to an earlier date or time. Click this link and follow the directions.

If this option is not what you are looking for than make sure you have all your pertinent information saved on a different drive partition or to a back-up disk. Okay, assuming your data is backed up you will need to get your copy of windows 98 and put into your cd rom drive or (D drive). You do not want this disc to load so once you install the disc and close the hatch press down and hold the 'Shift' key until the attempt to load passes. (Usually 30 seconds or so)
Now, restart your computer. Once your computer comes back up you will be given an option to boot from disc or from hard drive. Select disc. Once you see a blue screen prompting you to install windows select 'Enter' then you will be given an option to delete "C Drive' I think you will hit L if you agree (it will tell you which key to hit) Anyway, you agree, so delete C drive. Then you will have an option to install windows on the unpartitioned space and you say 'Hell yes'. It may ask if you are sure you want to do this, I can't remember for sure but, if so you know what to say. That's it! It will reformat, do all sorts of stuff and prompt you every now and then for this and that. Roughly 30 or 40 minutes later you will have your C Drive fully restored, fresh and ready to rock.
Good luck!

Boot the computer out of the window, go out and salvage all the broken parts, stick them together with Fevi-Kwik or Super-Glue and keep it back on your desk..... !!Viola your Window is restored.

Caution: Do not try this at home, parental guidance required...
Use Window XP or Windows 2000, Win98 no longer supported by Microsoft
