David Beckham.
He's always been overated.
Other than his long passes, crosses, set pieces and dead ball ability, he's pretty much a dud of a footballer.
Why?
He can't dribble. He lacks pace. Makes you wonder why he plays on the wing. Aaron Lennon just stepped up and showed the English how a winger should be like.
For a slow player, he doesn't even have physical presence.
He's also a defensive liability. When he goes into the challenge, he either misses or commits a foul half the time.
He doesn't never had what it takes to be skipper.
Peter Taylor made him skipper because he is the most famous player on the squad.
Sven Goran Erikkson stuck with him out of loyalty.
He's the reason why Gary Neville never really had the chance to wear the armband for the national team.

Zizou - he was an adequate player I guess, perhaps even a little above average some days, but he looked so much better with the bunch of stumble bums he surrounded himself with on that team.

Buffon, the guy is touted as the "best goalkeeper" when he can't even come close to saving a penalty. He gets all the fame because some people are so captivated by those "mesmerizing" blue eyes, give me a break! He is extremely overrated, there are much better goalkeepers than him, that's for sure.
