I have done everything I could think of. Still no one can do anything or knows what they are doing. The e-mails I got are from a proaspatbronzat@yahoo.com and lately from a todd_mpc33@myway.com. I was suppose to be buying a motorcycle from ebay a second chance offer. So like an idiot I bought it. I sent the money threw western union. The proaspat was under a fake name Pamela Diaz from Orlando FL 878 S Ivey LN. ALL FAKE. The orange county fraud people investigated it and found it all fake. They picked up my money in Jacksonville, FL at a winn dixie store with a fake number and address. I know This was very stupid of me. I have been wanting a bike for a long time, this money was for my birthday and Christmas. Thats what upsets me the most. Just the other day I have been getting another 2nd chance offer for the same bike same price everything the same but different e-mail, Thats the todd_mpc33.Someone PLEASE HELP me. Isn't there a way you could track them down on the computor?

You reported to the FBI, good. Did you report it to eBay?

You will not be to trace them. The best you could do would be to find the ISP. You can do that by opening the header to full header. Once you have the ISP then send an email to them with the info you have. Send it to abuse@(ISP name).

Sorry you got ripped off. This is an important lesson. eBay has tons of info on their site telling you how to protect yourself buying online. You should have read it. You need to read it now. You also need to read the eBay info on what to do if you get cheated.

One last thing. Never send the money the way you did.

I hate to say this but, you've probably just learned a very expensive lesson.

I have bought several automobiles off of ebay and 1 motorbike. I never send the money but have them meet me at the airport if it is too far to drive. Otherwise we meet and if the vehicle is as described then money changes hands. I do always get a phone number right off the bat and that can be used to identify a person. Ebay does have a fraud protection policy but I haven't heard any good things about it. In your situation if the same bike is being offered again then you might be the high bidder and ask for a face to face before exchanging money. If it is the same people then have them arrested. Doesn't guarantee you'll get your money back but you will stop them from screwing anyone else for a while. Remember "Buyer Beware".

well you are screwed because the FBI wont investigate For less then 10,000 in damages.

Further reason not to use Ebay.

YAhoo and myway are free email services so it is likely that they made up BS info there too.

If you sent cash you are screwed. At least with a credit card or a check you would have some assurance of fraud protection. Basically it is the same as being mugged. Low chance of catching them and even lower chance of recovering your $$$

Did you file a report with the Orange County Sheriff's Office or Orange County Consumer Fraud?

Go to a local Motorcycle dealer and buy one, or go to the private seller in person.
