Logos, (Or λόγος in Greek) simply means knowledge. In English it's (in the English form -logy) commonly put after some stem to create a word of a science. The exception too this rule is astrology, which is not a science, only humbug.

There is also, I believe, a computer language called 'Logo', but I know nothing about it.
