In what store have you had the best (physical/non internet) shopping experience? and what made it great?

Together with partners I'm considering opening a store in a typical shopping area. Without thinking about the product/service we'll be selling, I'm trying to understand what customers like to experience when shopping. Of course this will be different for a teenage girl or a business man; but I'd like everyone's feedback.

So, to be clear: What store have you had an amazing customer experience in and what made it great?

L.L. Bean in Maine, it was great. Huge place, lots of cool stuff, and the area was fantastic.
