I'm just wondering about one certain spot.
Right in the very beginning, there is a mage that falls from the sky near Sada Neen. I believe his name is Tarhiel, but off of his corpse, you can get a couple scrolls to boost your acrobatics 1000 points, a shock sword, some mage clothes, and his journal, and in it tells about how he plans to show his friends at the guild or whatever about how good a mage he truely is.
Is it possible to save him? Or does he just automatically die? And if you can save him, what is he good for?

I've watched him fall a bunch of times, and figured if I had a feather fall or boost acrobatics spell, I could cast it on him and he would survive, but I have yet to test this theory.
I've also shot him with a bow while he was falling, and he and the guard in the area (not sure why the guard was there) responded.
It's been bugging me since I've started playing the game.

He just automatically dies. It's part of that area of the game. MY bf has started HEAPS of characters on that game and it always happens....Thats a set part of the game.

As far as I was able to tell, he just dies, there is no way to stop it. it kind of shows tha tyou will want to use the scrolls carefully as you go or you may end up witht he same fate, and I seem to remeber someone, somewhere saying that they thought he was not too bright. But No, ther eis no way to save him, it is kind of the games way of giving you a decent sword at the beginning of the game

he is not savable it triggers sumthing when u get near him and he dies
