hi i have recued 3phones now that actually went into a swimming pool please note they was not mine i was e rep at holiday hotel. the thing is you have to take out the battery and sim card out and not try to switch it on first as that will blow the circuits also do not use extremes of heat i.e very hot or very cold when drying it never put it on a radiator or near fire whilst drying it out i shook as much water out and wrapped them in tiolet paper then used a hair dryer on a low setting to help the drying process i also dried the battery checking the terminal strips had not gone green i left the phones for a minimumof 12hours in the toilet paper changing it as it got damp i also placed it near a fan while it was drying then replaced the battery and sim and the first 2 worked but the screen on the 3rd was still black but flickering so i tswitched it of and started the drying process again and it took another 3days for the screen to be fully functional but it is still working today. but i dropped mine in the sea and it was dead and never to work again the salt water burnt out all the circuits it was put in clean water and had loads of attentiojn but was gone if the screen is truly broken a phone shop can replace them but it cost nearly as much as buying a new phone hope i was some help

There are tags inside phones that detect if a phone has been immersed in liquid, so if your insurance doesn't cover accidental damage you won't get a new one.
You need to get some distilled water and resoak your phone, then take apart the different pieces (back cover, battery, etc) and leave it to dry naturally over a couple of days.
Distilled water will wash away any impurities, and has no other bits in it which might cause corrosion to the circuit boards.
After a couple of days your phone should be back up and running.

Depends what sort of water you dropped it in. Pure water and you might actually be okay, salt water and it is probably dead.
First take the battery out, SIM card, etc and dry them out. Try and soak up any other water in there. Shake it a lot too: aim is to get as much water out as possible
As someone else here mentioned, if the water isn't fresh you will actually be better off trying to wash it out with fresh water: the salt will definitely destroy the phone, so you need to try and wash it out.
After this all you can do is leave it open and let it dry out. You'd be surprised: often after 24 hours it can start working again. Even if it doesn't your battery will probably survive, which is quite an expensive component.

Hi well i sell mobile phones for a living. Im sorry to say that if you just spilled liquid over it and its a motoroal rasr it will be ok in time, dont put it on a radiator as it will short circuit the mobile. But if you have immersed it water like a cup or sink then the mobile is ruined. If you want 2 have a mobile covered for liquid damage get a phone from carphone warehouse your covered for that.
Kindest Regards and Good Luck

It is fixable but if you can try get your service provider to replace the handset - unless of course you are on pay as you go.
I got the Motorola Razr phone too - its a classy phone & deserves more respect than to fall into water! Be careful next time.

my friend dropped his cell phone in the water too...an LG and it took two weeks for it to finally dry out and work again. If you bought into their insurance plan, just exchange it and if you didn't, but need a phone right away, go to eBay and buy one there.

don't worry about it, i've got the same phone and seems to love falling on the floor. If it's on contract then the company you're with should fix it e.g - 02, vodafone ... if it's a pay as you go, i'm not sure if they will fix it. good luck

Yeah, happened to me once. They'll make you change the screen and, of course, they'll tell you insurance doesn't cover it!
