ok this is called Keratolysis exfoliative

It is a common skin condition in which there is focal peeling of the palms and less often the soles. It is also known as ‘keratolysis exfoliativa’, and ‘focal palmar peeling’.

It is more common during the summer months, and most often affects young adults.

The first sign is one or more superficial air-filled blisters on the fingers or palms. The blisters burst to leave expanding collarettes of scale and circular or oval, tender, peeled areas. These peeled areas lack a normal barrier function and may become red, dry and cracked. However, they are not generally itchy.

The symptoms are aggravated by exposure to irritants including water, soap, detergents and solvents. Eventually normal skin forms, but frequently exfoliative keratolysis recurs within a few weeks.

Sometimes on the ends of the fingers the split in the skin is deeper, in which case the skin feels hard and numb and takes longer to peel off.

It is not a fungal problem

Exfoliative keratolysis does not improve with topical steroids, unlike hand dermatitis.

The following may be helpful:

Protection from irritants
Emollient hand creams especially those containing urea, lactic acid, or silicone
Photochemotherapy.

Nothing to worry about, think of it like, I'm a new person everyday, every time. That's what I do

You should make a appointment to see a doctor first. Before going to the doctor buy some baby oil or Vaseline and coat your hands with it before going to bed then put clean socks on your hands to keep the oil/Vaseline on this should help some.. If it's just really dry skin then the Vaseline will do the trick on your hands as long as you put it on them every night until the peeling stops then you can do it just a couple of times a week. Believe me when I say this works and works well.. Good luck..

Sounds like an allergy, start using hypoallergenic soap and use gloves for a while when your putting your hands in water. If this helps then you need to try diff things again gradually to find out what you are allergic to. Go get some cream from your chemist.

You may have a type of eczema or dermatitis on your hands. It can be cause by an allergy or washing your hands too much. See a doctor to get it checked properly and get some steroid cream. In the meantime moisturise your hands after they have been in water or better still use rubber gloves when you can. Hope this helps a little because it can become painful.

It could be severely dry skin. You could try applying large amounts of lotion on your hands at night before you go to bed. Also, you can use the lotion and put on knit gloves to seal in the moisture overnight. If that doesn't clear it up you'll have to have a Dr. check it. It could be an allergic reaction or some kind of infection.

first response would be to moisturize and hemp hand cream is really good. The secret is to apply it consistently - every morning, once during the day and at night works for me. Even petroleum jelly works great if you don't mind the texture - just wipe off the excess. You don't mention if your hands and fingers are peeling so much that they are almost raw or that it hurts so I don't think it's too serious...

This could be a sign of an allergy causing dermititis. i would go and see your doctor who may take you for allergy tests or at least give you some cream something like epaderm is usually very good and can be used as a body wash as well!
