actually finishing your work can be a challenge.
I like to finish my work by 2 pm save a few clicks and then just keep fiddling around with several pages of old files - deleting them or just reading them for fun.
write the lyrics of your favourite songs
write down your fantasies in details
write a description of your 10 million dollar house - for your contractor. I find it fun. even drawing it....

When there is work, there is no question of boredom. If you still feel that, the reason is your mind is elsewhere and the body labours alone. Keeping mind active will help the body feel easy. A brilliant worker will naturally develop better ways frequently.
If your problem is making use of free time, there are lot of ways depending on the type of work you do.

I was told once that only boring people are board. So I must be a boring person too. The true key is looking busy when your blatantly not. I think YA helps. Chin up the weekend is nigh!

it depends on your job but basically you have to use your imagination, if you find work boring thats because you are stuck in a job you don't like, ideally change jobs, if this is not possible what I do is sing, shout and make weird animal noises, from time to time as this help relieve the monotomy!

If you get bored at work you are doing the wrong job. Follow your passion and do a job that you will love.
Also remember - only boring people get bored! If you are stuck where you are, use your imagination and creativity to entertain yourself and your mind.

Just let your imagination fly about anything. I love thinking about being somewhere nice or just making up stories for my own pleasure when I'm bored. And sure you can do that at work cos I do it everyday.
