Cialis and drugs related to it like Viagra act by inhibiting an enzyme called phosphodiesterase type 5 which release Nitric Oxide from nerve endings and endothelium causing relaxation of smooth muscle and hence penile erection. This is a product developed by Eli Lilly and ICOS and it is a trade name of the product called Tadalafil launched in the market in 2003.

What are the advantages and side effects?

Although the vasodilatation that is needed is in penis, due to the extreme non-specificity of the product there are certain side effects related to vasodilatation at other sites such as headache, nasal congestion, stuffiness, and fall in blood pressure. Some patients complain of loose motions. These side effects are more applicable to products such as Viagra than to Cialis. Some patients have suffered heart attack and severe fall in blood pressure.

Who all can benefit?

Men with erectile dysfunction due to some arterial disorders will benefit the most. It doesn't benefit those with hormonal problems or psychological problems except those with Diabetic neuropathy. There is a myth that a person as soon as taking the drug will have erection but that is not the case. It starts taking action only when a person starts physical activity.

You can take anything without consulting a doctor as most prescription drugs are available over the net, however, are you absolutely certain you have no underlying medical conditions? Are you planning to take Viagra or Cialis for purely recreational use? If not, then you should be consulting with a doctor to investigate why you possibly have erectile dysfunction. If for recreational and you are positive you have nothing to worry about and still insist you want to take it, then do so, but with extreme caution, tell the person you are with you have taken it, they may well know anyway as the effects are quite different to normal function....and try taking just a portion of one to begin with, and try the Viagra first as shorter lasting

PLEASE do not take these medications without seeing a doctor!! You CAN NOT take it if you are on certain types of blood pressure medications or have certain conditions involving the heart, liver and kidney. These are serious drugs. Most of the time erectile dysfunction has a cause and simple treating the cause can correct the problem. Don't be afraid to talk to a doctor. Trust me they don't laugh behind closed doors or share information with anyone else. Most of the time they have samples you can try before you buy and it is just better to get his OK before taking medications that can effect your heart.

You need to make sure with the doctor that your blood pressure is normal and you do not have other health problems before you would take anything like Viagra or cialis.

Sure you can if you want to play around with your health....hey I got a revolver....you wanna play Russian Roulette??? That is what you will be doing if you take these meds without consulting your Dr. first.
Why are you shy about discussing your problem with a Dr.? They hear this all the time, they don't laugh at you and they don't discuss your personal business with anyone.
Please see you GP first!

If you are healthy and NOT ON ANY OTHER MEDICATION there's no big deal.

But if you have any health issues- especially high blood pressure- then don't.

Having said that, if you are desperate for a shag you might want to try something like Kamagara which is a similar type of thing but much less extreme in it's effects. Kamgara(Kamagra?) is available on Ebay- ( I believe).

If you go to your doctor and get a perscription, your health insurance is much more likely to pay for it!

Don't let dopey assed pride stand in the way of doing the right thing. A man is more than an erection. A man does the hard stuff even the embarassing stuff if it is good for his family. And believe me, going about this the right way IS good for your family.
