I read a review where they said that they are moving from the "mythical" into the "romantic." Jack gets a new love interest added to the cast and Kate has a romantic encounter within the first six episodes.

Will this take away from the intrigue of the show? Or is this the kind of diversion on the island that will keep us coming back for more?

I'm undecided, and that was before this bit of news...I have problems with the way Michael handled the whole 'return' situation - killing Anna Lucia and Libby...he should have known it would work better for everyone if he returned and confided in his friends the truth - they would have hatched (get it? 'hatch'-ed? LOL!) a great plan.

I did like the destination of the notebooks - when Locke put that paper in the tube at the Pearl, I wondered where it went...viola!

Season One was full of WTF moments - still couldn't get over the fact that no-one's qorked out and been freaked by Locke's surprise leg-usage. Season Two we haven't followed so adamantly but will catch up on soon, when they release the full season. So not entirely sure how that one goes, though was a bit peeved having to learn to give a rat's about the new people. Season Three - if it all becomes romantic, it would probably be true-to-life - after all this surviving, these people might well settle into routines, relationships and so on. But does that still constitute a reason to watch Lost as it's introduced itself to us? Maybe...after all, they're devious writers, they might slip a subtle strand of explanation in somewhere among the smooching, and you know you'd kick yourself if you missed it!

The story line about the fat guy is getting a bit better with his visions and It really needs a bit of spicing up Romance is a good thing but that guy in the cell keeps it going with the intrigue about the Others. Don't you think?

Maybe they are doing it to step away from the criticisms of last season. I love the show, and I loved the Kate-Sawyer-Jack triangle - but for now I think it's best unresolved! I prefer the mysteries of the island.

I know not of the show you speak of...pardon me while I switch on Masterpiece Theatre...it appears that this weeks show is based on a 200 year old English novel only 3 people have ever read! How exciting! Definitely television worth watching.
