my mate shaved his pubic hair a few days ago, and some sore and boil-like manifestaions begin to come out. In fear, he went to the local STD clinic and got checked but was found to be clean. He did not, however, get an HIV/AIDS test. the last time he was sexually active was in May. What do you think he has? could it just be an infection?

He has no pubic hair for the first time in forever. If he grew his beared out for most of his life and shaved it off you'd see exactly the same thing. Shaving a furred region of the body can cause ingrown hairs, swelling from razor burn or even infected cuts. if it persists several weeks worry about it. Otherwise it's completely natural. Have him used a skin conditioner when he shaves use the best disposable razor you can buy until the skin toughens up a bit, then you can use an electric if you like.

You need to elaborate more, is the infection in the general area of the pubic hair only, or all over his body, and is there any other symptoms?

It's probably just infected hair follicles. That happens when hair is growing back. It's normal but very painful.

The more he shaves, the less this problem will persist.
