I don't think it's just men, it's what people are used to doing. I write practically everything in block caps, and when writing in joined-up will occasionially catch myself throwing in the odd capital letter at random.
In an office environment it's best practice to write notes and memos in block capitals. A lot of writing is often illegible when written in joined up writing (look at the last prescription from your doctor), but in block capitals most things are easily read.

I would say that it is not only men who do it but some women also. Hand writing is a reflection of who we are. You can tell a lot about a person in their hand writing. Especially about how stressed and hectic their lives are.
And a lot of times when someone is first learning to write they use both upper and lower case letters. I think that men(boys) do not tend to focus on this aspect of writing and it is something they continue doing through life. They get in a big hurry when writing and revert back to the way they first learned to write.
It is a sub conscience thing, they do not even realize that they are doing it.
Men are more conscience of just getting things written and quickly where as women are more focused and want their writing to be perfect, pretty, flourished.
Look at a woman who is writing something in a big hurry and without a lot of thought, she will also tend to print and use upper/lower case in her writing.
It is merely a sub conscience act.

I think that men are more interested in the outcome while women are fascinated with the process. It is at the core of many differences like the way we eat and view movies, talk to each other and so on. If the message is communicated the man is happy. For women, how it is communicated is important.
I hope That this Has been of some benefit. - Smile!

Well speaking as a man, when I went to school I was taught to begin each sentence with a capital letter so that means that I use upper and lower case letters. I can only assume that you were taught to use only lower case letters!

Good question. I think that it is because females tend to be more able to concentrate on tasks like writing where as men rush, dont pay enough attention and just want to get it done.
I would like to know why girls' handwriting is always neater than boys

We're doing it specifically to irritate and confound you. Not the female gender but you specifically. We in fact prevent women from doing it entirely because we are all working in concert as part of the male agenda. You should stay away from men, maybe never talk to them ever again and definately don't read anything they type.

Men write in CAPITALS because we like to SHOUT. It's mostly women who do the mixed thing because they think it's CuTe.

Mixing capitals and lower case? Yeah, I do that, like at the beginning of sentences, for names and "I". It's called grammar.
Or perhaps you need to word your question better?
