Well no.
However, Schopenhauer, in his excellent essay, "On the Apparent Intention in the Fate of the Individual" posits that we write the book of the life we live.
It deals with the concept that one has freewill, and acts in accord throughout his or her life to arrive at a certain destination.
So while it may be what I consciously fantasized as to what my life would have been, my underlying psyche chose actions and inactions to arrive exactly where I am today. Those dreams were shaped by me and by those with whom I came into contact, who were of influence to me.
Maybe I once thought I would be a doctor or a cowboy, but everything I did was a choice, given my talents and determination to develop those talents to achieve those goals.
Good Luck with your future hopes.

when I was 20yr-20yr ago. wanted to be married and have children and a good career.
at 27yr had a child. but never married. and just took any job-fast food.
5yr after that thought I would have at least 1 more child and be married- still not married and only the 1 child.
at 43yr. still not married and having no more children. and not happy.
im not where my life expected to be. and not happy at all.
my life is not where I expected it to be at. nothing is going to change now.

It's not really how I expected it to be, but not too bad, either.
10 years ago I was dreaming myself working in tourism field and travelling a lot...I am not, I work in PR field and I'm not travelling much
5 years ago I was expecting to be married to the one I love and never leave his side and to become mother...I am not.
I believe in life we get only the things that brings us very less happiness, not the ones that would make us trully happy and make us feel complete. So, we have to be content with the less that we get.

no. i don't expect for great things but GOD has been too generous that He gives me what He thought i will need and makes me experience new things. He is so mysteriously good. some people say i am patient, i can't believe i am. maybe that's why god's plan manage my life. and i am contented. take note, i am not rich materially but rich in GOD's love!

If not better, really close. I have dreamed of where I'm at since I was a little girl.

I guess being an adult is not half as fun as I anticipated it to be, its easier to have someone else worrying about issues
