chants or yells usually involve repetition and sometimes the crowd yells back...
like we've got spirit yes we do, we've got spirit how about you?
a cheer usually is longer and involves stunts and or gymnastics.
your best bet is to look at the guidelines for you league and gear everything to that competition

a yell is off blance a cheer is to be clear in wording when u cheer and u chant it like this"GO____FIGHT____WIN!!!....u feel it comes from ur gut
