Depends what you mean by "bad".
"If it makes you happy....it can't be that bad"
Cancers, cardiovascular disease, lung disease, early death...they are bad...that's my opinion, but you may think differently and you are entitled to your opinion. But passive smokers getting the above-mentioned diseases? You'll have to be considerate for others. Also, the cost of health care would be much more affordable if everyone stopped smoking. We could be spending all that money on other things.

Smoking is harmful to you because it is 'evidence based.' That is the extensive research and statistics show for example that 85% to 95% of people who get lung cancer are smokers.
The non-smokers who get lung cancer usually get it from radon gas coming up from the ground in or near where they live, or from other pollutants they breathe, including living or working with a heavy smoker.
Smoking is an act of combusting material. Combusting has been shown to affect people, whether it is from exhausts, fires, smoking or industry.
Nicotine is a poison, used in insecticide ingredients. The stats on babies show nicotine has harmed their sensitive bodies, and their mother's smoking has narrowed blood vessels, which means the baby has not received nourishing blood, and can be born underweight and premature.
