No offense, but if you are in Tornado Alley, why a mobile?

I'll assume there are regs, codes, limits, etc. for mobiles in Ok, even more so than here in FL.

Previously owned mobiles can be found in a wide price range from very low to outrageous. At your suggested price range you should be able to find one ten years old or less, and look for any that have upgrades in construction, such as actualy 2 x 4 studs, a metal or home type roof, decent plumbing and electrical issues, actual 1/2" or 5/8 ths drywall, or REAL wood paneling. Ask about the insulation. I'd look for one with Central air,,, or at least the hook ups for it. Check the size of the water heater and breaker panels amps loads. Go underneath and determine the flooring,,,Plywood or particle board, while there look for water staining or degraded flooring.

Check the walls for plumb,,, IE swollen or bowed walls are age and water intrusion issues. Will you be on your own land or in a park?

Keep in mind they are treated like a vehicle in registrations, but assessed and taxed way lower than your assumed value.

On South Shields in OKC are several sales sites-- lots of newspaper ads are also pushing land to put them on-- phone the many credit unions in the area and see if they have a "return"--
The Rev had good tips-- also check under the chassis for openings for varmits--yep, mice and such-- Duct tape is wonderful.
good luck

I would suggest looking in the newspapers or phone book for that area.
