I'm 40 and single. Never married. I'm OK with that. It all has to do with circumstance. My mother became disabled when I was young, so I took care of her. My father became disabled after a car accident, and moved in with me when I was 25. My brother(42) had a stroke and was put into a nursing home. I quit my job, became a CNA and am now taking care of him at my house. It would take a very special women to want to start a life, and family with me. But since I believe strongly in family values, I have no regrets.

I became single shortly after 35 and have stayed that way since. Now at age 67 I still feel single is better. Now that does not mean I don't live with a woman. I am and have with several. Life changes and people change so from time to time it is good to change gals as well. No regrets either. Now if you mean live alone all the time then I sure would not recommend that to anyone. If you have recently left a relationship then take a little while and then find another to live with. i would not recommend getting married though. Ten years with one person is about ling enough.

It is what it is. I have friends. I still date. Not successfully.
I feel happy. I would like a life mate, but I am not going to abandon everything to get one.
I like to think this is as full as my life can get, no kids but that is ok. babysitting for my Buddy's kids is fun, and they are almost willing to give you their car for a night out sometimes.
I know people who have destroyed their lives through marriage, and other who have completed them.

i am 35 and still single. yep i am happy with my life. i spend time with my family and friends. i enjoy what life offers me, i treat people well and i help those in need - this is how i live life to the fullest.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn to be succeessfully single. Once you can be happy on your own you will nver put up with crap in a relationship again.
