The question is:

If you are a Baby Boomer born from 1946 to 1964 do you agree with the Colonel's findings?

In some ways I agree with the col. I am most definitely a boomer and I well remember the 60's. Some good years. I was never quite as liberal as some were in the sixties. Never marched for peace and dishonored a serviceman. I was moderately into feminism but no bra burner. But you are quite correct a moderate Republican then a total conservative now. I adore Sean and Bill and Rush. I also think you are right about the Dem's their last great pres. was JFK. And Teddy needs to just go away. Please do not get me started on Dean that imbecile.

i imagine that the liberals in this thread oftentimes are literally not historic adequate to remember Viet Nam. If Mitt had served in Viet Nam, those liberals might want to were between those that could want to have spit on him at the same time as he back. persons who did not live then, do no longer comprehend what they're speaking about. The conflict became once some terrible president sending thousand of youthful adult adult males to die for a conflict that very just about all persons didn't wish and which we ultimately did not end. i comprehend a guy that became once drafted and became a helicopter gunner (an rather unfavourable job). He didn't wish to bypass even with the undeniable fact that did not turn down the draft. at the same time as he back, persons spit on him for serving there. To on the present time, he has an exceedingly undesirable attitude about his service. i do not blame those who moved to Canada to flee the draft. I in my opinion joined the national safeguard and may want to do an same once more desirable. If a president needs to do this once more desirable, he should be the first to associate at the same time with his youngsters.

They were never hippies. Only someone who has an axe to gring or is just lazy would automaticly equate draft dodgers who were overwhelming white and working class with hippies. Some of the most well know conservatives of today were draft dodgers or evaders.

Saxbe Chambliss US Senator (bad knee)
Richard Bruce Cheney US vice president ( 5 Student deferments)
Pat Buchanon Conservative hate mongering columnist and avid runner (bad knee)
Tom DeLay, former house majority leader (can't recall his excuses)

Many of them found Jesus, and having done so now think they have the right to be ill tempered towards other, condemning, and condescending (as you see in some of your answers). They have a narrow minded distrustful approach to life, they screwed up so much that they think everyone else is a screw up as well, and by God they should repent of their sins. Problem is, no sin exist except in their own flashback demented memory. And of course they follow the likes of Falwell and Robertson who never did an honest day's work in the last 40 years.
