I have been extensively working out (Cardio + Free weights) for the past 3 months and taking protein shakes for the past one month. I see differences in my body structure but not that great differences as compared to extent of my workout (which has been designed specifically for me by my trainer at the gym) ... i did gain 1KG of muscle in first 2 months and very minimal fat burned.

My friends is taking steroids and has developed an amazingly nice muscular body in just 2.5 months. He says that he is not seeing any side effects and is feeling great and lifting more and more day by day.

Now i am curious, why am i not going that route. Dont u think all these nice buffed up guyz take steriods ... like whats the proof that brad pitt didnt take steroids for Fight club or Ed norton didnt take steriods for American History X.

how much more time it would take for me to see good positive results if i dont take steroids ???

Lyle Alzedo (formerly of the Oakland Raiders) can tell you the various side effects ...... oh wait he's dead, sorry.

Steroid induced brain tumor.

Steroids aren't bad for you, obviously when used in moderation...

I wouldn't recommend steroids to you though... It's way too early for that you could do more harm to your body...

Steroids are generally used by bodybuilders when they stop growing... It is used as a boost if used unnecessarily and incorrectly it could lead to major health problems....

It takes time to build the perfect body, right now you just started so it would take a couple of months before you see real results...

It all depends on your body type and your workout plan... If you have a high metabolism it would take you a little longer to put on muscle than the average person...

Go over your workout plan again and increase your poundage a little, not too much...

For now i recommend you stick to protein shakes with a high protein level and a reasonable amount of carbs...

no steriods arn't bad, testosterone is a natuarlly occuring hormone in your body and by taking extra testosterone then you have more of the "good" effects to kick in, see if you workout natural, it will take a long time, where as taking steriods, you are giving your body more fuel for more muscle growth

Steroids' side effects are scientifically proved and, as a result, I would keep away from them.

Are you combing your wight training program with a nutrition one? Eating right (and a lot) will make a big difference.

Working out takes time it could take years for you to get your body the way you want it, the thing is you have to have patients and commitment!

I personally think we should have a drug assisted olympics.
What a spectacle that would be.
