Riley is a great coach and they have as good a shot as any, but I think it will be a little tougher this time around. First, the Bulls are vastly improved, the Pistons are still a threat, Lebron's a bit more experienced and everyone will be gunning for them.

The east will be weak again, which favors the Heat, but the Heat aren't getting any younger. Health will be a big factor.

That being said, they certainly have a lot of talent, but will go as far as Wade and Shaq can take them, which we've seen in the past can be very far.

Nope... Heat had barely enough to make it into the finals last year. D-Wade's style of play is reckless, he takes the hits and sacrifices his body so he's always gonna be banged up come playoff time. But they need him to have GREAT, not just good- games to win in the finals.Shaq is another year older (assuming he stays injury-free, which is a BIG if) Now they lose Zo & GP who were huge for them in some of the Eastern conference series.

Cleveland has another year's experience under their belts.

Chicago has added Ben Wallace(!)

San Antonio will be back with a healthy Duncan, Parker & Ginobili, and Phoenix gets Amare Stoudemire back. And Dallas will be hungry, too.

The Heat will have a good year, maybe win the East but that's it.
King James or Big Ben have a good shot to knock em off in the playoffs & any of the western powerhouse teams at full strength are better than Miami.

I think the heat has a good shot at repeating. Look at when riley took over about midway through the season and guided us to a championship. The heat managed to click in playoff time to win it all. And now with everyone comin back (payton still remains insigned) and with everyone familiar with each other the heat should dominate the east.

aahhhh, no. I do see them back in the finals, but the Spurs are out for revenge and will win it. Manu is a freak of nature...w/ with the help of Tim and Tony of course.

It would be a hell of a ride to see Spurs and Heat in the finals. Dallas flamed out bad in the finals. Disappointing.

Yes, Wade rules and Shaq can still do some minor damage.

Nope, Cavs are better this year. Miami won't even make it out of the East.
