An auto parts store would carry steel gas and brake line and a tube bending tool.

Do you mean 3/8 inch outside diameter tubing? What are you using it for, oil lines? Tubing is available in stainless steel and copper in that size and in my line of work that is how tubing is measured, by the outside diameter. Depending on how much you need and where you live you might be able to find some at a scrap metal yard. The benders are pretty serious tools unlike the cheap junk they have at automotive stores. You also need a tubing cutter to make a good square cut followed by reaming the tubing after the cut. Imperial, Swagelok, and Ridgid make tubing benders but they aren't cheap. Again depending on where you live you might be able to find one at a pawn shop. Of course if you go this route you will need tubing fittings and a couple of manufacturers are Parker, and Swagelok.

Any auto parts store should be able to help you. They should also have a bender but if not try www.advanceautoparts.com . Hope I have been helpful.
