My dear, I do feel your pain. I lost my mother in 1969. It seems as though it was just yesterday that I lost her. No, there is not one soul that is equivalent to mom. Read psalm 27 and know that God truly loves you. I miss my mother so much but it just is not to be. I pray daily and I know that God has saved me and my family from many calamities. Things like going a different way on a "whim" and finding out that I was made safe by that action. Sometimes I wouldn't go out of my house or I stayed somewhere longer or shorter than usual. This was just enough to keep me safe. Know that, "The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits." Selah. Psalm 68:19. Although it is long-winded, I read Psalm 35 on a daily basis to (Plead My Cause) and God has listened and helped me. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. May you have continued peace. God Bless.

Your question almost made me cry. My mother died a little over three months ago and sometimes I still can't believe it. It wasn't all sunshine and roses when she was alive, she's had a pretty difficult life and it rubbed of on me, but I do so wish that she were alive today. I do feel I have some kind of bond with her that death can not destroy. I really hold on to that feeling sometimes. No there's nothing in the world like a mother. ( although I really loved my dad too).

Sorry to hear that you are going through this but I'm pretty sure that there is nothing in this world that can compare to a mother's love.

Aaaaarrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Really sweet question.

As a mother and having a great mum i would have to say 'no'.

However sometimes you can find really special friends and family members.
