There aren't any appealing candidates from either party on the scene. Not yet anyway -- remember, some candidates "come out of nowhere" and subsequently win (e.g. Carter, Clinton). Both parties are a mess. The Republicans of course have neither the solutions nor will to protect the economic interests of the lower and middle classes. The Democrats are weak and inept. I actually think (barring a "come out of nowhere" candidate) we are in big trouble in 2008. We'll probably end up with two dullards from each party, and I wouldn't be surprised if the voting result is close again, both the electoral and popular votes. Although I don't consider myself a liberal, I tend to lean left. So I'll speak about the Democrats. The only two people that come close to appealing are Al Gore and Bill Richardson. Gore probably won't run; if he does, he'll have to run a much better campaign than he ran in 2000. Richardson has both significant domestic and foreign policy experience, but he's Latino; the narrow-minded (and sometimes racist) voting populace would reject him.

It doesn't matter what party or political grouping the next President is from, as long as they are able to fulfill the aspirations and wishes of the majority of the American people. For too long poiticians have tome to see elected office as a vehivle to push their own agenda and vision raher than the collective vision of the United States of America as embodied in the constituion, laws and ideals of what America should be and what it stands for.

I would vote for Rudy G. I will never vote for Hilliary. I don't trust her or John McCain they speak from both sides of their mouth, or as a friend of mine says "they speak with forked tongue".

Forget Gore he is a total lost cause.

It is a shame Obama isn't a rep. he would be a good V.P. to Rudy G. and then he could run for president after.

I think they would be a good team.

What makes you think that Geo W is going anyplace soon? Middle of 2007 the Republican Congress throws out that pesky ammendment limiting the Prez to two terms and zango-banga it is BUSH for four or MORE years - - - Don't go thinking it will be easy to pry the sceptre from Bush's grasp.

Only if Democrates rule congress. That way there will be gridlock and they won't be able to accomplish anything, which is probably safer for America than anything else.

It doesn't matter, GOP or DNC. They are both the same. If we don't all vote third party in 08, the US Constitution is LOST for the remainder of our lifetimes.

well I do not want Hillary. She is too liberal for me. I am moderate and I would never vote for her. If Obama would run I would vote fo him but I think McCain will win and I think he is more of a moderate republican or I wouldn;t mind Gore.
