Nadal is not likely to outsmart Federer. While Nadal is an intelligent player and plays very smart percentage tennis, his game is built around speed, heavy spin and intensity. He may be able to outwork and outhustle Federer. His high kicking and pentrating shots wear Federer down on clay and he wins through tenacity rather than outsmarting the Fed.

Federer is one of the most intelligent player I have had the pleasure to witness. His game features more variety than any top player I have seen and he knows how and when to mix things up. I am not sure there is a smarter player on the circuit.

Nadal has a ton of potential. He is still extremely young and if he keeps progressing as he has shown, the sky is the limit for this young man. The Nadal/Federer rivalry is good for tennis. Two contrasting styles, two class acts both on and off court.

Federer is too good for Nadal on grass. But Nadal is the king of clay right now. Since Nadal is younger he may get to number 1 in the coming years. Federer will still be at #1.

Do you mean the US open? Federer already beat Nadal at Wimbledon. I think Nadal will have a tough time making it through the draw to the finals. If he does he gets Federer. That will be tough because Fed has some confidence now. So no Y do not think Nadal will beat him and no I do not think he will be number one any time soon.

Well you never know, Although grass isnt Nadals favourite surface he proved he can still play on grass by reaching the finals at Wimbledon. Nadal may have a bleak chance of dethroning Federer on Grass but Federer has no chance of dethroning Nadal on clay. So Nadal may b the number one star in the coming yrs but its too hard to predict yet

i don't really know. i think that either of them can win against each other. but i also think that nadal does seem a little batter than federer sometimes. so yeah i think that nadal could outsmart federer is Wimbledon. but federer will probably outsmart nadal the next time they play in Wimbledon.

Grass is Federer's best surface and Nadal's worst. No way will Nadal beat Federer at Wimbledon--but I think Federer may retire soon. He seems really bored of tennis.

i really think nadal can play well on grass and on any surfaces. i'm a federer fan but i will admit that nadal surprised everybody this year by reaching the finals at wimbledon because he's such a fast learner!! he adapted is game magnificiently to grass: he hit the ball flater with less topspin making his shots even more penetrating, he played well inside the baseline and was very aggressive attacking the net often, he moves very well now on grass but can still improve and he also showed us that he could blast serves.
so, yes!! he could win wimbledon one day!! and it wouldn't surprise if he beats federer on grass in the next 2 years.

Nadal will beat Federer on grass when Federer beats Nadal on clay. In other words, never.
