Castrol oil will be ingested by the baby, and it may or may not put you into labor, I dont advise it. For one thing you dont need the added pain of diarrhea, excessive cramping along with contractions. I worked in Labor and Delivery for 7 years, and its not a pretty site. If your cervix is effacing, your on your way. Rocking in a rocking chair will help pull the baby down furthur, do as much walking as you can, and when 'true labor' starts, and the contractions are regular, (give or take a minute) then try to rest. You'll need it. Best of luck to you..Remember, what you eat or drink, you share with the baby.

All these things are MYTHS and old wives tales. Your only 2 days over - that nothing and the hospital won't even consider inducing you until 10-14 days past your date.
Sex is the only thing there is an ounce of truth to cos when you orgasm you contract slightly so it might be enough to get you going but only if baby is ready.
Just try and relax, you only have days to go and baby will be here!
All the best!

Sex. Seriously, there is something in sperm that helps the cervix dilate. I was in labor, with contractions 5 minutes apart, and after 20 hours I was still only 2 cm dilated. My husband "helped me out" and within 4 hours I was at the hospital, and my baby was born 6 hours after that. Sounds long, but it could have been worse.

If you have been in pain for two weeks you should go to your doctor and get checked. It's not unusual to go up to two weeks over your due date whether the doctor lets you is another thing. You can be already dilating and still not go into labour I walked around for two weeks being 2cm dilated and that's normal. If you baby doesn't want to come it wont. good luck

Do not take anything or introduce anything into your body. Walking is best, but take rest periods also. If all else fails, have a talk with your doctor and see if he can help. There are safe ways of inducing labor at the hospital or doctor's office.

walk.... do a lot of walking. It will give the baby the little push it needs for your water to break... and technically your not overdue...because doctors only give us pregnant women an estimate. Its not perfectly accurate. Good luck hun!!

You could try having sex if it isnt harmful for the baby at this point. Alot of women go into labor having sex. Also light exercising may do it too. Or ask your doctor what he thinks

Don't do castor oil. It will just make you poop your brains out, which will irritate your uterus, which will then cramp more, but not necessarily effective labor contractions. When its ready, your body will do it! Good luck! :)
