I think its called a mid-Atlantic accent or similar. He lived with his mum over there Angie Best, she is English though not American as one answer said.

I think it is a combination of Irish and American. I beleive he lives in America so he kind of has developed an accent.

Forget the accent, he said on Love Island last night during one of the tasks that he had never seen the film "the sound of music" and didn't know that it was set in Austria, now thats what I find amazing

don't know what it is. Answering the question about what do people see in him - it's not his looks so much I think it's because he knows just what to say to make women feel good about themselves.
This could be interpreted as - a charmer, a creep, a slimball.

His mum is American and he lived with her. I don't see what people see in him, he's nothing special. He has a receding hair line as well!
