To be listened to. To be treated with kindness and respect. Not to have to listen to stupid chat up lines but rather talked to in a rational way, as rational human beings. I would rather receive the kind of generosity that forgives me and overlooks my failings than buys me expensive gifts. To be allowed to fulfil my role - in my experience when the man has taken away my feminine role I am nonplussed and the relationship dies, and the same thing happens when he is not masculine enough. So it's necessary to have a clear definition of the masculine and feminine roles, at least for me. Others may not find this important. All this of course applies only to the man (not boy!!) you are with.
From other men, just to be treated with ordinary friendliness but otherwise left in peace.

A really thick wallet- it was just demonstrated the other day that girls would rather have kids and have guys pay for it rather than getting a working/paying career.
This was on the front page of Yahoo about 2 weeks or so ago
