All you can do is keep doing what you are doing now. Eventually people will see that you are not the person you were.

I guess you cant start a new life. Life starts once and thats it. You could change your way of living. And I am saying that because as you said people dont forget. So its never a new one. Well you might have to give some allowance to people who dont forget and yeah dont count support from ppl who were hurted by whatever wrong you done in past.
The best suggestion is "Take it easy policy". You might have to feel the burn of the things in past but then keep on ur path you think is right. If it is really right for others u will eventually be accepted.

If you have truly changed then fine. Move to an other area and start again BUT, keep your mouth shut about your past, there is no sense in wollowing in self pity etc. I was a Pagan Priest and a crossdresser, I decided to change and become a minister and a non crossdresser. It didnt take long for me to discover that most folks are blind to what you are now and to just keep up the moaning and whinging. "Oh, you CANNT be a minister coz you used to be a witch!!" Note the words "USED TO BE" here?
I went back to my roots BUT, I changed a whole pile of my origonal thinking as well this has made me a better person today than I was 15 years ago. Also, depending on what you did wrong, most people are blind ignorant fools with thoughts only for them selfs and NEED something/somebody to whine about. True friends will not bother about parking tickets or whatever, pedo and rape and murder etc, thats diferrent. Just make the move and try to be your true self. As "Nike" says "Just do it!"

First of all I wanna congaratuolate you for wanting to start a new life specially if you've done something in the past.. Well continue what you're doing and prove to yourself first that you've truly changed.. then next to other people.. Just show them that can trust you again and make sure that you will never ruin it again..

I wish you all the luck in this. Have a look of volunteer opportunities in your area, perhaps working with kids to keep them out of trouble. If you have a probation officer, ask for advice on the best course of action. It is their job to help you after all, and he or she will be genuinely pleased you are turning yourself around. Perhaps you could move to another area where you are not known. Go to adult education classes and learn a new skill. It will probably take time to prove yourself, but you can do it with sheer determination.

You are right people don't forget and can be cruel about it to you. My suggestion is to leave the past in the past. Start off by reinventing yourself. Imagine the person you would like to be. Think to yourself, what that person does how do they think and what habits do they have to start out with. Then set goals for acheiving them. Good luck in the future and don't worry about what other people think about your past. That was then this is now.

It's a slow process if you want people to forgive and forget. You have to re-earn the trust you let slip in the past. It would be a lot more rewarding than moving on as no doubt your past would always come back to haunt you.

It's hard to face people who know what you've done before. If you're brave, don't care what people are saying, just be yourself. Go for a really good job for your own living, and do not follow your past steps anymore.
Time will prove all these good things you've been earning....
By the time, you are really accepted by them, you'll see that you have successfull. Good luck to you.
All the best to you....

confucious says it only takes one wrong act to ruin a 100 years of good deeds.. ie no one ever forgets .. my advice and I have done this is move, change towns, have no contact with anyone from your past basicaly start again.. if your just a victim of circumstances your new start will go ok.. if your a no hoper and the past was truley your fault then you have no chance

If you've got a new life, then you need new friends. Don't hang out with the ones you used to mess up with. Hang out in new places too.
