you're not alone. music affects everyone's mood, and this is the reason that we have "music" in the first place.

as for why or how it affects your mood, this is one of the biggest mysteries of all time, right up there with "love".

Any form of art whether it music or theatre is designed to have an emotional impact. If it's good it should affect your mood rather than just wash over you. Good music will either cheer you up or if you want it to help you cry. It can also evoke memories and that will all come flooding back when we hear certain songs.

You have figured it out. music and the people who made it are very powerful. their emotions are raw and live for you to hear when you listen to their music. I love a great range of artists. my night is short when and if I put on a Nirvana CD. on the other hand I dance and sing for hours when I put the Rolling Stones on. they say that t.v. is the opiate of the masses. i love t.v. it gives me a break from the emotion of music.

Thats the power of music. When a artist creates his music it reflects what he is feeling at that time and it comes out in his music..so I think you feel what he feels. Does that help?
