On question 1... how people think according to age... can their enterprising spirit deplete? or something like that...
Age is only a number for one... It doesnt make a difference how old you are... knowing something... is different for different people... not age. Wise people are not often that wise. I learned that the hard way. EX-Boyfriend... thought he knew everything... Now thanks to me... he thinks he knows everything. I learned from experience that people learn different ways... they learn what they want to know... and people want to learn about everything (knowledge seekers). I dont think it goes by age. I am 22... i think I know more than the average... only cause I study.
On question two... You only know what purifies your soul. money... power... and fame are everyday situations that helps you defin your soul. If you want all and you want a purity of your soul... then do what is best for you... morally and ethically by your standards. that is my opinion.

On #1 - free thinkers can have their spirit depleted with age if life is hard on them and they suffer many disappointments. However, if life is not too bad and they stay healthy and use their minds, their spirit will continue throughout their life. My grandmother died at 95 and her mind was as sharp as it ever was.
On #2 - simplify your life and get back to the basics. As for myself, I'd like to have more money, but who cares about power or fame. Are the powerful and famous really happier than me? Not likely, as their stress level is way higher than mine and as we all know - stress makes us miserable, mean-spirited people.
