Other than a quick "Hello" or "Good-bye", I think deep kissing is way too much of a turn-on for me.
What about you?

Mmmm, it can be both. Especially if they both know what they are doing. I know women like a man to linger on that little spot on their neck behind and a little below their ear (and then trail kisses down the neck to the shoulder and collar bone, then back up the neck to the chin, lips, then the special spot by the other ear). Then kisses can be a form of massage... all over the body --butterfly kisses on every inch of skin. Of course, when I'v kissed someone like that it lead to sex... but it's more than just a prelude. The kissing can last longer than the sex, both before and after... but that's an all nighter (or all weekender marathon).

Damn, now I need a cold shower...

I may lose my guy membership badge. I have had a few kisses, but many, that was way better than sex. Some sex is like a stand up comic....... 5 or 6 minutes of good material and it's over. A good kiss can seem like an eternity. When you get much older and remember the good time you had, chances are you will remember the kiss much more vividly than the sex. As far as moments that you could choose to relive, the kiss is pretty high up there. But that is me.

There are different ways of kissing! My partner and i like to kiss each other good morning then when he goes off bye bye and when he comes home hello and so forth .... Its like a need to hold each other and kiss at the same time. Obviously we would only give each other a peck in company but then .... Kissing is very important to us!

It's supposed to be a prelude to sex. But if it's just a hello or goodbye then it's not. Also it's a show of affection that doesn't have to turn into something else

in the early part of a relationship kissing is great and is just that kissing when you have been together for a long time it is basically an unspoken request for sex, however if you take the time and have a really good snog with your long term partner you suddenly re- discover the amazing feeling of kissing.

I like it. Realistically though, you can have a long drawn out juicy wet kiss with some one and be turned on but have to wait until way later to get together. That's when you pick up where you left off, right?

Sort of neither. I love the act of kissing it's sometimes better than the sex but if I make out with someone and it doesn't culminate in sexual release for me or them I feel cheated.
