I only ever heard of one, and that was at the Eden Project. Do they have those things up in the Northwest at all?

Look up 'Folkworks' they have listings on all the story telling sessions and festivals in the north.

I don't know of any 'festivals', but there are a few pubs in York that have story telling sessions weekly.

They might be the best people to ask, if you'r paying them a visit.

Some great ghost walks in York too! x

Everyone "up north" tells stories, they are experts at it,it's a way of life. No need for a festival.

Quite a few book shops and local libraries hold story telling sessions. Then there is one-word on digital radio which has well-known actors reading books all day long, a good mixture too.
Hope you find what you are seeking!
