how do i create a webpage with a flower background that also has an external microsoft word FILE on top of that flower background and the file and the background don't clasH. in other words the file shows up just as text with an invisible background.

To get the flower background is easy. You can add it as background image for the page. I am not sure what u mean by showing an external word doc as text on the webpage. Generic html cannot read Word docs. If u ur using IE , then IE can open Word doc in the browser itself as an ActiveX document in which case u cant see the webpage . The way out is to open the Word document in an IFRAME tag which can be a smaller rectangle in the other webpage (with the flower bkground). But theres no way u can get Word text with the transparent background showing thru, unless u embed the background image in the Word doc itself and then show the doc in a web page.

use and image edtior and put the file into the image.

If you need the flowers to stay still and the word file scroll then use css instead of html.
