I'm a guy. I've been driving for over 40 years, and I still can't parallel park to save my butt ! Years ago, I used to drive tiny cars, and they were definitely easier to park. One of them had the engine in the rear, and the front shocks were shot. I would put the rear end in the spot, lock it, get out, and bounce the front end like a basketball to scoot it over.

It took me ages to learn how to do it! I passed my test because i didn't have to do it!!! But afterwards i made a point of parking anywhere just as long as i could avoid parallel parking until the day ... No choice (I was late for an apt) so i juts had to do it. I made myself remain calm, hoped for the best, said a little prayer and off i went. Granted it took me three attempts to do it but after that ... I realised it wasn't parallel parking but rather me thinking i couldn't do it so i made a point of practicing and now i'm OK with it but hey! Took me a couple of years to get it right LOL

I cannot parallel park. Failed it on my driver's test, and have never mastered it. My son tried to teach me, but I'm incapable of it. I can't drive a stick shift, either. And in a shocking blow to feminism, I have allowed men to park my car for me. Egads!

Oh gosh i cant park.. always go for the bigger spaces where i can drive in and then straighten out later.... LOL - but i am sure i passed my test because i didnt have to do it... but oh welll i passed and if 2 years later they were to test me again and give me parking i would fail, fail , fail... but never mind with all things it takes practise and it took paractise for me to learn to drive more less park and if is not sometihng you HAVE to do everyday it will not come easy...but give it time (thats what i'm doing)... i got what i need to do in my head but to put it in practise...
Practise, practice.. practice makes perfect and imagine i want a bigger car.... i'm on your side...

Don't feel too bad. My wife can't parallel park either...but she can drive safely at 75 m.p.h. in crowded city traffic while fixing her hair, talking on the cell phone, eating her lunch, and beating the kids in the back seat on their heads with her pocketbook.
I'm incapable of multi-tasking...I drive off the road if I sneeze.

Here is a fact that I really hate to admit to .... apparently it is all to do with spatial awareness, it is generally weaker in us women - dammit!!!
It seems that men's spatial awareness is more efficient than ours, that is why men seem to excell at ball games and parking. Never mind we are better at most other things, so I suppose we have to let them be good at something!!!
