I feel different and a little out of place especially in high school. However, after a while, I get use to it and I try to help those who are new to the environment.

O MAN i am gonna go to a different school this year! and i feel very exited and scared at the same time. and i dont know what to expect. im goin to a new school cause i just moved to california from south dakota.. and i am just so nervous about school next week. but good thing ive met some guy friend that im gonna be in school with. and they seem to be very nice. so now im extatic!
if you are goin to a new school, i wish u good luck and i hope you meet some good friends that will last for a lifetime :)

Nervous, excited, scared. Your first day at a new school can be quite terrifying and it helps if there are people there you already know. If you don't know anybody then that's quite another thing as you may feel quite vulnerable. If your not confident fake it, make friends quickly and dive in to activities you can do that will make new friends. Whatever you do don't be afraid to approach someone. If you're bubbly and outgoing people will get attracted to that and want to spend time with you. Just be yourself and remember that you're not alone, everyone no matter who they are gets nervous on their first day at a new school.

It depends on how old you are, how secure you are with yourself, and if you have a great support system around you. However, just for the record, and as someone who has definitely been there and done that- I'm 35 now- anyone who tells you that this is the best time of your life is LYING. The best comes later, and any of those mean girls or guys you meet now will be but a distant memory someday. I PROMISE!
