Who is your cell carrier? Go to their website and preview the phones and see what is available. If your plan is up did you know that if you have Verizon that you can order your new phone and it will be sent to your home for free and you get more of a discount online than at the store.
Another thing when you preview what is available do a search for that phone and read individuals reviews for that phone and your particular carrier. Razr doesn't have good reviews because it falls apart, buttons, screen goes blank etc. I have read reviews on this one in all carriers.
I have the Motorola E815 and like it but I think I liked my Nokia candy bar phone even more. But Verizon doesn't have many candy bar phones anymore. My DD has the LG8300 and loves it. She puts many songs on this phone by putting them on the memory card from her computer using media player 10. It is a scam to buy the Vcast. You don't need it.

I would compare plans of all providers EXCEPT SPRINT! EXCEPT SPRNT! EXCEPT SPRINT!. Sprint will active services without advising you and will refuse to reiburst you once you catch them. Bad customer service and unethical employees.
