We all have our own belief systems. whatever comes against or not in line with those belief systems causes hate. Its just a natural act to show our strong disagreement to those, implicitly showing our own eagerness to hold on our own belief systems.

firstly i would like to say that i think hate is a word that should be eradicated from our vocabulary...man uses this word too freely and only 10% of the hate in this world is genuine. Now the root cause of genuine hate isnt just one but many, i will only elaborate on one and that is the perception of imperfection through the eyes of man, we see imperfection everywhere, both positively and negatively, the positive imperfection is far more advanced and takes on an ethereal quality, while the negative imperfection is constantly exploited and scrutinized.
Lets take an example: George Walker Bush, the President of The United States, he has imperfection oozing out of his ears, the world dislikes him(they actually hate him) because of his fundamental beliefs on life, war, islam and basically his concept of life and the way it should be lived, he went to war without any concrete evidence, he recently stereotyped terrorism into islamic fascism, he because of his imperfection is hated. Hate also arises from our fight for survival and the basic animal in us.

Yes and no... yes, it is due to insecurity to a point ...I am very insecure and shy due to past abuse, but still I do not hate. I dislike and fear very much, but do not hate. A part of me wants to hate, then it seems like I wouldn't feel the pain I feel everyday. I think that if you have crossed over into hate, you have learned to no longer feel the pain becasue your most extreme emotion has been redirected. I'm not sure that I want to make that trade. I hate the sexual abuse that I suffered as a child, and I hate the effects on my adult life. Oh my, I just talked myself into a circle. Truth is I hate me . I'm sorry I did not answer your question! But you helped me to answer my own. Thank you!

One kind of child abuse or another! As in... the child growing up with unresolved revenge issues! So they take their hate out on others. It's all about power. One looses it & stives to find a way to use it over others to reclaim it. It's a vicious cycle until the owner gets it resolved via counseling, medication & understanding their own feelings. Get some help. Now.
P.S. Hate is LEARNED!

I believe that the root cause of hate is the loss of control. When humans experience something so unpleasant that it manifests in to hate, you can always trace back to the fact that the human affected did not have control of the situation. It occurred, they disagreed/disliked/disapproved of it and to gain some sense of control they experience a reaction we label as hate.

insecurity may be one of the reasons, but hatred is strong dislike, that may come from our choices. the way we make our choices, reflects our behavior towards different things.
