WELL IT DEPENDS ON THE AIRLINE , HOWEVER SINAPORE AIRLINES U CAN CALL ON A MOBILE, AND U USED TO BE ABLE TO SMOKE WHETHER THAT IS THE CASE I DONT NOW KNOW BUT U SURE CAN RING OUT ON YER MOBILE

Probably it can be done but I doubt that someone in that plane will be allowed to as it is forbidden (if I well remember) to make calls from a mobile in a flying plane. And apart from this why not those persons do something else, more exciting, not so boring during the flight? Speaking on the phone doesn't seem to be the most interesting thing to do.

There have been a number of terrorist threats in England on many flights. Now your can not even carry a hand bag on, everything has to be checked. So I would say no to a mobile at this time.

Usually not. Mobile phones should be turned off during any flight.

As far as I know, you are not allowed to use the mobile phone in a plane as it can interfere with the control panels in the cockpit. That is not a good thing....

You can use cel phones on planes now but they'd have to be close to landing or take-off otherwise they'd have no signal. Cel towers only reach about about 5 miles and they're not intended to work upwards.

No. But lots of planes do have phones on them. Either a communal phone at the front or one connected to your armrest. I shudder to think how much it would cost though.

they can call, just that the air stewardess will stop..

is goin to interrupt the signals watever the pliot is receiving.. thats why no receivers, no internet or watever is allowed in the plane..

why cant u just wait for them to land? the phones in the terminals are free for local calls...

sorry you cannot. they have a law against using mobile phones during flights. it will interfere with there navigational systems.
