I wouldn't even have one in a new car if I bought one. You hear none of the new songs (if you are lucky enough to even get an English language channel), and all that is ever on is sports broadcasts (BORING!) and talk, talk, talk. There's just no music anymore!

Wolf, That's why hardly anyone over thirty can name even one recent song! They're just not buying I-pods, cd players and all that stuff to even know what new is any good.

Carpathia
Why buy yet another type of device (Sirius or XM) if there is just no good music being created? I'll just listen to my old LP's some more. I agree, greed has killed music in this country.

Do you remember when they said illeagal Music Downloads would change music forever? Ta-da! Napster broke radio. Most people with strong musical tastes simply have Mp3 players, a technology pushed by the Download boom. Artists are less concerned about big album releases so they don't kiss up to Radio stations for airplay. If they can get a single on the air they're not going to make any more money pushing the station to play their album. Musical radio is dying and those listenners who are left don't care much about what's on so radio is largely unconcerned with serving them. They just flip formats until they get ratings and when that falls off the flip again. Pretty soon there will only be one radio station that plays music in every town. It will be Jack format or something simular where random music is played 24/7 on an automated shuffle.

There are no decent artists out there because of money grubbing corporations. There are many decent artists out there but they cannot get signed because the corps want to sell crap. Everything must have a uniformity to it, thus you have the Britny Spears, Paris Hiltons, and the rest of the idiots who have zero talent getting airplay. The unfortunate part to the corporations is that the consumers are not all idiots as they think we are and keep putting out this crap. The twits buying this crap fuel their budgets and thus the corps just keep putting it out. You wouldn't believe how much music out there by REAL talent has been SHELVED. Therefore the only smart thing for artists to do is to go to independent labels which unfortunately are far and few and don't have the money to advertise the true Talent out there. So this being the case, most radio stations which are also owned by big corporations sell radio air play time to commercials which is the other reason why you won't hear any decent music on the AM FM channels. Best bet, buy a Sirius or XM set up--all music no advertising!

I agree.
As Mike Meyers says,"IT'S CRRRRAP!!!"
I listen to oldies stations, which are '70's and some '60's. Or I use Cd's. Other than that, I cringe every time I hear the junk that is cranked out these days!
And Lex & Terry are THE WORST! Mysogynistic bazzterds!!!
