The movie is "Marry Christmas Mr. Lawrence" - Good movie!
Ryuichi Sakamoto composed the sound track!, he also plays Capt. Yonoi in the movie.
Sakamoto's music is fantastic.
Amazon will get you the soundtract fast.

i agree with haitho and sienfield. merry christmas mr lawrence is the movie. the soundtrack was by ryuchi sakamoto and david byrne
there are others like lybrinth, the hunger, the man who felt to earth, absolute beginners.
