Six weeks ago I fell from the 1st floor to the ground floor. I think i broke my ribs and I finger and my hip and foot were badly bruised and swollen. However, my foot is still painful and has started clicking when I walk on it and my ribs are still painful. I called my gp and he said that if I could breathe I was ok. Is it normal to have pain 6 weeks after an injury and what is causing my noisy foot?

Get a second opinion. Just because you can walk doesn't mean that you don't have an incomplete break in your foot. It does take time for the body to heal properly, but you shouldn't still be in so much pain after six weeks.

Good luck and be careful!

I recently severely sprained my ankle, and now my does the same thing. Every time I try to walk on it, it pops. And to answer your question about the pain. You probably have a bruised rib, and yes, if that is the case you will be sore for quite a while.

Perhaps you landed on a pedometer that embedded itself in your foot.
That would account for the pain and the clicking would be your steps being counted!!
Just a thought *wink*
