The hotel you mean is actually spelt 'Bab Al-jadid' (and means new gate)
It is located along sharia al-corniche, ie the seafront., And has small well appointed rooms which are spotlessly clean..It is a 3-4 star hotel. And has a restaurant, and a coffee bar..
