Romantic meal is about creating atmosphere and making someone feel very special. The food is just part of that.

It is also about ensuring that you don't have to spend all your time in the kitchen once they are there.

First - the actual food is only part of it. The setting is key. You need a table that is beautifullly set. That means, fresh flowers, candles burning, the table set with glasses out, silver ware, plates on place, a great bottle of wine, and of course a bottle of champagne - in the fridge & well chilled - for aperatif before you dine.

When your fiance comes, first thing is to offer her a glass of champagne.

By this point in time, almost all the cooking should be finished. Only last bits of prep should be done.

Then we turn to the food.

What is romantic food? I think the most romantic things are those things that don't require difficulty eating.

Lobster is delicious. But it is messy. Not romantic. Spagehetti is the same.

So here are a few things that I would recommend as simple, tasty things, that make for good discussion topics, or could be fun things to share...

Starter

If it is still warm where you are - make a soup ahead of time - a nice chilled gazpacho. No worries about having to prepare it. And it always looks beautiful. There are other simple chilled soups you could make.

Main course
- Roasted things are great - because you can put them in the oven and if you plan well - then you can just get them when you need them.

Heat oven to 375F

Take your favorite veg, chop into good sized pieces (carrots, beets, broccolli, zucchini, whatever you like - mix a few different ones up). Place in a bowl, add splash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, dash of salt & pepper, and some herbes de provence. Mix so all veg are covered in oil and vinegar. Put in oven when your finance shows up. Will take 1 hour to cook.

Bag roasted chicken breasts
- in tin foil or baking parchment, place 2 chicken breasts, stuff them with some flavorful mixture - olive tapenade, some fresh herbs, sun-dried tomatoes; top the breast with another marinated veg like artichokes, then add a dab of butter, and a splash of wine) Seal the chicken in the foil like a small bag. Place in oven after you have poured your second glass of champagne. Needs 30 min to cook.

Cheese course

In french style, a few small delicious cheeses. Feels decadent to have a cheese course. Perfect.
you should serve it with nice fresh baguette or other bread.

Dessert course

I would recomment something simple.

Fruit and chocotate are always winners.

Given that it is summer, you could roast peaches in wine with a bit of nutmeg, honey and cinamon.

or more simple yet - fresh red berries - on a white plate - looks lovely top off with fresh mint.

If you are feeling very decadent, you could serve a small bottle of a Sauternes wine (a dessert wine).

Coffee / tea & chocolate

A few delicious chocolates at the end is of course essential.

Well - those are my suggestions! Hope it goes well!

1. Include all five senses as you make your plan.
2. First choose your environment. Choose a beautiful outdoor location or a clean, uncluttered room in your home. Think "outside the box", it does not have to be your dining room.
3. Select the necessary table settings for indoor or outdoor use. Will you need a picnic blanket, tablecloth, or antique lace runner?
4. Continue planning the visuals. Will you need a centerpiece or is the environment visually stimulating enough?

5. Plan the meal. As you consider your menu, think about the colors on the plate and textures, not just the taste of the food.
6. Don't forget to please the nose. The scent of apple pie entices a man; lavender and other soothing herbs please a woman.
7. By all means use candles, but make sure they're not scented. Scented candles can clash with the taste of your food.
8. Select foods with aphrodisiac properties.
9. Food that can be fed to your partner is a fun choice. Forget about the utensils.
10. If the meal will be indoors, make sure your seating is comfortable. Nothing kills the mood more than feeling fidgety.

Things with light sauce and no garlic or onion powder. I recommend a light chicken cooked on the frying pan with a little basic, oregano and olive oil, ontop of a nice pasta with butter and oregano with light parmesean cheese and basil. If you were planning on a salad, go for a romain lettuce, iceberg is no use its just like eating water, and use a balsamic dressing, it doesnt give too much of a smell after eatting (good for kissing). For desert a nice bowl of chocolate covered strawberries is very romantic, try that and you will have a great night.

man! i'm sure anything you cook for her she'll like it man. Look at it this way man! You've already won! She's your fiance already! You dun have to try too hard to impress her with ur meal tonight! Just make sure whatever you cook just remember to put the secret ingredient: Love(yeah i noe it sounds kinda cheesy). I'm pretty sure she's not gonna marry you because of ur cooking. Cook something simple, something you can handle. Don't go all chief-crazy and whip up something fanciful and in the end both of you end up with upset stomachs. Keep it simple man!

If you're talking seriously, here's what you should cook: Pasta with clams:
for 2 persons:
cook 750 g of clams (little ones, cockles or so) in white wine till they open
fry garlic, chili and tomatoe paste in seasoned olive oil in a pan
after a couple of minutes add 300 g baby calamari and sundried tomatoes and frie until done
filter the water that came out of the clams (and wine)
after the calamari are done, toss in the liquid of clams
add heavy cream, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper
let thicken a bit
cook linguini (or other pasta) al dente
when saus is ready toss in linguini and clams
mix well
if you want, mix in chillis and parmezan chees.
serve

There you have one nice and simple tasty romantic meal

basically unfold your self bare around the table and be innovative with the place you placed the candles. ok could no longer help myself there. in case you pick it romantic and are finding for in keeping with risk somewhat romance later on you would be wanting to objective to maintain the meal mild. the final ingredient you pick is a few meal the place the guy (i'm assuming you're cooking for a guy) whilst carried out pick to push him self away variety the table and unbutton the right button of his pants (you may pick his pant off later yet it somewhat is not any longer a thank you to start). i might recommend something the two fish or seafood (no longer fried, fish sticks or breaded in any way). in keeping with risk poached or baked salmon with a lemon dill butter or you are going to be able to desire to objective lobster tails. A sea nutrition pasta dish might artwork properly too (something mild no longer with a heave cream sauce). serve with a constructive mild wine. in case you pick to circulate all out start up off with a a million/2 dozen oyster on the a million/2 shell and have chocolate lined strawberries for dessert.

Candlelight. A nice table set up. A dish with wine in it like Coq au vin or something like that.

Find out what kind of food he likes. It would be a disaster if he didn't like a certain type of beef or the vegetable or type of potatoe you make.

Try halved avocado filled with prawns in sea food dressing to start, toad in the hole with mashed potato and carrots and broccoli for main and chocolate cake with strawberries to finish.

Hope you are both hungry!
