Going up in level allows you to ask and answer more questions each day. It always costs 5 points to ask a question, but you get 3 points back if you select a Best Answer to your question. Read about points at this page: http://answers.yahoo.com/info/scoring_system.php

Every time you ask a question in deducts 5 pts from you.
When you answer a question, you get 2 pts.

asking questions gives -5 answering gives +2 and voting on an answer is +1, going up a level allows for you to vote and answer more questions, as well as ask more questions.

there used to be rewards for going up in levels (it was planned but never announced).. but since have been removed.. so now the only advantage of moving up is to have the ability to ask and answer more questions..

no questions will give you more points.
