ERROR DURING CHECK Mailbot (Datei C;\Windows\Win.ini kann geoffnet werden. The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process)
Can anyone explain in layman's terms what this means? Thanks

I highly recommend you download SUPERantispyware. It is way better than spybot search and destroy.

win.ini is a system file in Windows. Try running Spybot in safe mode or use settings to not look at that file (if possible)

Run the spybot during boot up F8 as said before if it doesnt cure prob, check at spybot for an update and repeat process.Dont forget to immunise system.

This error is usually caused by running Spybot-S&D with and old advcheck.dll library. Go into Spybot > Help > About. Are you running Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.3 as opposed to Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.4? If you are, download the latest version here:

Basically what it says, a process is running that SB cannot access. It's best to run anti-crap programs in Safe Mode.
Restart, keep hitting F8 and select safe mode. Screen will look funny but don't worry, only system files will be running.
Run anti-virus etc.
When you restart again it will boot in normal mode.

The only thing i can suggest is if you look it up on the net to see what it means, then download zonealarm. This protects u from hackers and viruses and gives u a free firewall. Some of the other features u have to pay for but they give u a 14 day trial to see if its eorth buying. other than that im sorry i cant help you..

I suggest you uninstall the programme and download a newer version get the latest security update afterwards

what i do is get the pc into safe mode. then i use spybot. restart the pc. during the restart stage, and before you see windows logo, press f8. select safe mode.

your soft ware could be corrupted try reinstalling the spybot programme.

restart your system do not have anyting open not even the internet or Q&A then run
