You obtain points...but what in the heck you do with them? It is not like you get a check in the mail. You can't even exchange them at a pre-selected online store?

I don't know, I'm level one and I don't really want to spend my time trying to get to level two, so I losing points for asking questions doesn't bother me. I want to have negative points so maybe they'll send a bill in the mail.

Not sure why. It would be nice though if there were some kind of system to redeem them for something such as music downloads or wallpapers or something that you can get from it other than yahoo just tracking to see how many people are using the system.

actually, it's more about either helping people or getting them to laugh. Also, if you're the shy type, it can give you a feeling of "belonging" to something.
The points are more for amusement, and not to be taken seriously,
