I mean really, isnt this thing for helping and assisting people with their problems. what's the point if you're gonna get some idiots saying and calling you names. what does that report abuse thing do anyways. I agree with you 100%, people actually come on here with questions that need answered and others are asking stupid stuff or asking crazy stuff. I think yahoo should have someone watch over this system of questions and remove accounts of people who are acting stupid.

Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about getting smart *** answers.
The simple reality of it is that the people typing questions are doing so, knowing there is a risk of getting smart *** answers.
Also, I was reported once for giving an answer, and it was not intended to be rude in anyway, but the asker of the question decided it was. My point is that some things you might consider rude or smartass wasn't intended so, though most times, it probably is.

Some of these guys need reporting about all this. These "Boys" have no life and are just lookin for attention. The best thing to do is not to answer them and just move on to one that you can help with. Maybe Yahoo! can stop it, we can send abuse reports to them about this, try that.

It just seems to be a part of the YA culture. i have had a few, myself - and many times more i see them when i am answering questions and it does make me a bit cross. I suppose all you can do is ignore them - that's what i do. And to be honest, most of the abusive things are so no-brained and so thoughtless that they really are quite funny. Anyone who would take them seriously doesnt have an opinion worth your worrying about, surely?

If you see an answer that you don't write, and they are saying abusive things, report them, and they will be punished for their actions, and prevent it from happening again.

You need to keep reporting them. Yahoo has so many reports to go thru and it takes time.

Report them, theyr questions will get deleted, and eventually they will get banned from Yahoo! answers.

report them for abuse and it can stop them from using answers or limit how they connect on the internet

You can stop asking questions. That's not a smart *** answer, it's the truth. If you're going to open yourself up to random anonymous responses, what do you expect is going to happen? If you don't like it, quit doing it. Or at least quit whining.
