I put my tea bags, money, "fake" flowers, keys, jelly beans, marbles, candy in general. Sugar, flour (different types from brown/white sugar etc). Coupons. I have Punch packets on one jar to where my step brother when comes over wouldn't even find them lol. (likes to take things with out asking).
Arts in crafts with Jars. I have made fish bowls.
decorate and put small plant/vase
Sand twirlers
A big candle for christmas.

Twinkling Potpourri Jar (these are sooo pretty)
Materials:
Jar - any size
Christmas tree lights that run on batteries - the shorter the strand the better (You can use plug in lights for this)
Favorite homemade or store bought potpourri
Any type of fabric, lace, decorations (Your mind is the limit here!)
Instructions:
Clean jar out and remove any labels from the outside of jar. Put the Christmas lights inside, add some potpourri, wrap more lights inside, add more potpourri. Keep repeating until the jar is filled, making sure that the battery end of the light strand is at the top. Add your favorite ribbon, lace, or fabric to the lid. Turn on the lights (with two D batteries or recommended size) and in about 15 - 30 minutes your room will smell wonderful from the heat of the lights heating the potpourri.
I have one of these, it's awesome looking in the dark!!!
