Easy question because he's an actor, another one is he's paid well for it and nobody knows if he's really straight.

He's a versatile and reasonably gifted actor. How good of an actor can anyone be if the only roles they play are those which completely true to their own lives?

Because he's an actor, a good one. And any actor has to be really versatile in order to play any role.......or maybe he was just running out of jobs.

Because when you are a thespian, you are supposed to throw yourself into the state of mind of the character and how they would react to the situation they're acting out. That's what a true actor does, anyhow. As for me, you couldn't pay me enough to make out with another hairy, sweaty dude.

That is why it is called ACTING, pretending to be something one is not and be convincing in the role. I doubt Anthony Hopkins is a psycho cannibal serial killer, but he plays Hannibal Lector.
